Extraordinary Vision: Adjusting Your Lenses to Receive God’s Best.

Success, everybody wants it, not everybody has it, but everybody can obtain it. When you consider this word success, it can be looked at in many different ways.  However, the type of success that I’m referring to is the kind that comes when the hand of God is on your life.  This success causes any other type of success to pale in comparison and to be quite honest it is the only success that we should seek. This God given, God ordained success is available to all. The only requirement God has is that we adjust our lenses.

What do I mean by this?  Well, it’s really rather simple yet often difficult for us to grasp.  God wants us to have extraordinary vison.  Vison that see’s the invisible and refuses to focus on what’s seen.  Paul describes this extraordinary vision in 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 which states, “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”  This is God’s formula for success.  He does not want us to focus on the things of this earth, He longs for us to focus on what we cannot see, things eternal. When we learn to do this God is then able to do amazing things in our lives.

To illustrate this point I’d like to focus on the life of Daniel. Daniel had a successful life despite the fact that life had dealt him a bad deck of cards.  As a youth he was taken from his family, never to see his mother, father, or siblings ever again.  If he had any thought of starting a family of his own it was crushed because when he arrived at Babylon his manhood was taken from him, Daniel was turned into a eunuch.  He was no longer his own, he belonged to Babylon.  What a devastating state of affairs.

Yet, despite these terrible circumstances, Daniel chose to view his circumstances through different lenses.  He refused to look at life through his earthly lenses, he looked at life through eternal lenses.  He recognized that Babylon wasn’t his home.  He understood that his true father, God, was always by his side. He determined to work unto God and not unto man. Daniel had vision, extraordinary vision, vision that God could bless.

As a result of this vision the bible records the successful life of Daniel.  He was a friend and counselor to the greatest rulers of his time.  He was highly exalted holding a position of greatness.  He was blessed financially as Belteshazzar clothed him in scarlet and gold and he had intelligence that surpassed any in the kingdom.

This all occured because God blessed Daniel with success.  In Daniel chapter 1 we are told that it was God that brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs, it was God that gave him knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom, and it was God that gave Daniel understanding in all visions and dreams. God, God, God.  Without this favor Daniel could never been the success that he was and without extraordinary vision he would never have obtained such favor.

So what about you?  Do you desire to rise above your circumstances and live the successful life God has specifically ordained for you?  If so, you must learn to have vision, not ordinary vision, but extraordinary vision.  Determine in your heart today to focus on the unseen, the glory of God and His kingdom and I guarantee your life will never be the same.
Have you experienced the blessing of extraordinary vision?  If so, encourage us all by sharing your experience below.  Please be sure to subscribe to the blog, like my ministry page, and share this with someone who needs to be encouraged.  God bless.
